Play Her Way Strategy
Play Her Way’s strategy for success is built upon the foundational pillars She Belongs, She Plays and She Wins.
Each pillar represents a different strategic focus to address gender inequality and increase participation of women and girls in sport – both on and off the field.
The pillars range from developing inclusive cultures within sporting organisations, system-wide approaches to dismantle barriers for sport participation and working with partners from across the eco-system to invest in girls’ and women’s sport.

Teenage Advisory Committee
The Teenage Advisory Committee is an initiative of the Play Her Way Strategy. The strategy has a focus on addressing the low rates of participation among adolescent girls after research found a 23 per cent gap in participation rates among boys and girls aged 15-17 in NSW.
The Teenage Advisory Committee will provide advice to the NSW Government on how to break down the barriers preventing teenage girls participating in sport and propose new and innovative ways to keep teenage girls involved.
The teenage girls – ranging in ages 16 to 19 from across NSW – were chosen following a state-wide process to identify a group who could be a voice on some of the biggest issues affecting young women in sport.
Information on previous strategies and initiatives can be accessed via the Her Sport Her Way webpage.
